Description
This session will teach students about the variety of dental instruments and hand pieces. Patient records, patient preparation and dental charting are among the subjects that students will study.
Introduction to dental x-rays and safety protocols will be discussed. The techniques and steps on how to take accurate intra oral x-rays will be demonstrated. In addition, this session will cover extra oral x-ray systems such as Cone Beam and Panoramic x-ray.
To assist our students in learning more effectively, each student will receive a take home kit that will have x-ray holders and a dental model that you can practice on at home. The student will learn how to assemble the x-ray sensor holder while watching the instructional video and power point.
At the end of this session you will be able to identify the types of hand pieces and other dental instruments used for different dental procedures. You will learn how to review patient’s records and properly chart existing, or future treatment needed. You will learn how to assemble and position the sensor for diagnostic x-ray results.
There will be several quizzes and competencies to test the students’ knowledge and understanding of the subject.
All of our students have 24/7 access to their instructor via our exclusive mobile app group to ask for guidance as needed.
