Online Dental Assisting → Session 3

DA-103 Sterilization and infection Control (DA-103)

Description
To teach new dental assistants the importance of infection control, the sterilization process and how to keep yourself safe by wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
At the completion of this session students will learn how to properly clean the patient’s room after treatment and process the dirty instruments through the sterilization room. Also, students will learn how to practice universal precautions and how to apply personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep them safe during dental assisting.
To assist our students in learning more effectively, we have used a series of easy to understand illustrations, video demonstrations, as well as highlighted sections of the textbook to be studied.
There will be several quizzes and competencies to test the students’ knowledge and understanding of the subject.
All of our students have 24/7 access to their instructor via our exclusive mobile app group to ask for guidance as needed.
