This session will introduce students to basic dental instruments, basic dental equipment, as well as a review of the dental office business model and professionalism & ethics guidelines.
To assist our students in learning more effectively, we have used power point lectures rich with pictures and instructor’s voice overs, video demonstrations, as well as highlighted sections of the text book to be studied.
At the end of this session, students will be able to identify instruments used for basic exam, as well as the name and function of the essential equipment in a dental office. Students will learn about the different departments in each dental office and their respected responsibilities.
There will be several quizzes and competencies to test the students’ knowledge and understanding of the subject.
